Russian monetary base up $790 mln in week to $149 bln

MOSCOW, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central Bank said Friday the country's narrowly defined money supply (M1) was 3 trillion 708.3 million rubles ($148.7 billion at the current exchange rate) as of September 24, up 19.7 billion rubles ($789.9 million) in the week since September 17.

According to the Bank, M1 money supply consists of the currency issued by the bank, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Central Bank.
