Russia's largest tractor company plans to hold IPO in 2008

KURGAN, March 21 (RIA Novosti) - Concern Tractor Plants, Russia's largest company in the heavy engineering sector, is planning to hold an IPO in November 2008, the company's CEO said in a press-release on Friday.

Mikhail Bolotin also said that the company's auditory report for the last three years should be ready before September 1. He also noted that this year the company was planning on increasing production by 30%.

The Urals-based company manufactures commercial, military, and agricultural equipment and exports its products to more than 40 countries around the world. It reported net sales in 2007 of more than $1.35 billion.

It is also involved in a joint project with the U.S. machinery producer, AGCO, to build a plant to produce engines used for the agricultural machinery made by the company.
