MOSCOW, April 28 (RIA Novosti) - Oil company Slavneft, ranked among Russia's top ten crude producers, reported on Monday a 5.9% year-on-year drop in first quarter oil production to 4.97 million metric tons (36 million barrels).
The company's natural gas production grew 5.8% in the reporting period to 236.8 million cubic meters.
The oil company is co-owned by Gazprom Neft, the oil arm of the Russian energy giant Gazprom, and Russian-British joint oil venture TNK-BP.
Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov reported earlier that the two Slavneft co-owners are drawing up a stabilization program for oil production to fix output at 139-146 million barrels per year.
