MOSCOW, May 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft [RTS: TRNF] said on Thursday its revenue calculated to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) rose 18% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2008 to 59.3 billion rubles ($2.5 billion).
Transneft said earlier its unconsolidated RAS net profit rose 22.4% year-on-year in January-March to 1.174 billion rubles ($50 million).
Transneft owns 48,708 km of oil pipelines. The Russian government has a 78% stake in Transneft.
