MOSCOW, August 8 (RIA Novosti) - Transneft's unconsolidated net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) increased 15% year-on-year to 2.3 billion rubles ($97 million) in the first half of 2008, Russia's monopoly pipeline operator said on Friday.
The oil pipeline company's revenue went up 18% in January-June 2008 to 119.5 billion rubles ($5 billion) year-on-year.
Transneft's unconsolidated net profit rose 14.7% to 4.018 billion rubles ($170.4 million) last year against 2006, the company said in early July. Its net profit calculated to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) grew 17.8% year-on-year to 64.7 billion rubles ($2.7 billion) in 2007.
Transneft owns 48,708 km of oil pipelines. The Russian government has a 78% stake in the company.
