MOSCOW, August 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russian cell phone operator MTS [RTS: MTSS] said on Tuesday its U.S. GAAP net income increased 32.7%, year-on-year, in January-June to $1.27 billion.
Russia's largest mobile phone company, which has more franchises in Central and Eastern Europe than any other operator, said its revenues in the reporting period grew 25.2% to $5.02 billion.
OIBDA (operating income before depreciation and amortization) climbed 31% to $2.53 billion while the OIBDA margin dropped from 51.8% to 50.4%.
