MOSCOW, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russian telecommunications company Synterra said on Monday its audited consolidated net profit calculated to International Financial Reporting Standards grew 250% year-on-year in 2007 to $138 million.
Synterra, which has a ground long-distance network covering 70 Russian regions and stretching for 65,000 km (40,000 miles), said its consolidated revenues in the reporting period more than doubled to $449 million.
"The considerable revenue growth in 2007 was primarily due to organic growth in the business of the Synterra Group," the company said in a statement.
