MOSCOW, February 18 (RIA Novosti) - The official dollar-ruble exchange rate for February 19 hit a record high of 36.43 rubles, the Russian Central Bank said on Wednesday.
The dollar rose by 79.22 kopeks against February 18.
The previous record was reported on February 7, 2009, when the dollar traded at 36.38 rubles.
The official euro-ruble exchange rate will be 45.97 rubles on Thursday, up 97.84 kopeks against Wednesday.
