MOSCOW, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Technology Corp. and Airbus signed on Monday a long-term contract for titanium supplies, worth $4 billion, the Russian prime minister said.
Vladimir Putin, who attended the Moscow meeting during which the documents were signed, said the contract was valid through 2020.
Titanium will be supplied by Russia's VSMPO-Avisma, the world's largest titanium producer.
The Russian titanium giant exports 70% of its products, with the remainder supplied to the domestic market, according to its website.
VSMPO-Avisma's major consumers are the world's largest aircraft-makers, such as Boeing, Airbus, SNECMA, General Electric, Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.
