MOSCOW, June 3 (RIA Novosti) - Russian uranium trader Tekhsnabexport and U.S. firm Exelon have signed a contract to supply enriched uranium covering 2014-2020, a spokesman for Russian nuclear holding Atomenergoprom said on Wednesday.

The deal follows the signing of agreements on uranium supplies last week between Tekhsnabexport, a 100% subsidiary of Atomenergoprom, and three American companies owned by Fuelco Group.

The signing of amendments to a uranium anti-dumping agreement in 2008 opened the door for exports of Russian uranium products and services to the U.S.

Exelon runs the largest network of nuclear power stations in the United States. Its 17 reactors installed at 10 nuclear power plants generate some 33GW of power at a low-prime cost, accounting for some 20% of U.S. nuclear power, and about 3% of U.S. electricity.

Russia's uranium production accounts for around 8% of the global output. Up to 90% of the profit in Russia's nuclear sector comes from nuclear fuel, power and services exports, according to nuclear chief Sergei Kiriyenko, but the country is seeking to import more nuclear fuel.
