Slavneft posts 4.8% drop in oil output to 9.4 mln tons in 1H09

MOSCOW, July 14 (RIA Novosti) - The oil company Slavneft, ranked among Russia's top ten crude producers, posted on Tuesday a 4.8% drop in oil output in the first half of 2009 to 9.4 million metric tons (69 mln bbl).
The crude producer said oil refining had increased 1.9% to 12.1 million metric tons in the reporting period.
Gas production stood at 449.7 million cubic meters in January-June 2008, down 0.7% against the first half of 2008.
The company has commissioned 101 oil wells since the start of 2009.
Slavneft is co-owned by Gazprom Neft, the oil arm of Russian energy giant Gazprom, and Russian-British joint oil venture TNK-BP.
