Over 600 Russian and foreign companies will take part in an international architecture and construction forum to open in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar on Thursday.
The International Southern Architectural and Construction Forum, first held in 1996, is one of the oldest and largest construction-related events in Russia. It will be held in the KrasnodarEXPO exhibition complex.
"Over 600 companies will take part in the forum, including the world's largest manufacturers from Germany, Finland, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine," the exhibition center said in a statement.
The forum will feature six specialized sections: "Stroymarket" (construction materials), "Electroterra" (electricity and welding equipment), "Building and road-building machinery," "Aquaterra" (water supply and drainage systems), "Construction and real estate" and "Windows. Doors. Facades. Roofs."
The second construction congress, "Real Estate Demand: Evaluation and Forecasts" will also be held as part of the event.
The forum's program also includes the ninth international festival Days of Architecture.
The forum was organized by the Krasnodar Territory's regional authorities, city administration of Krasnodar, regional departments of architecture, city planning and community services as well as regional unions of architects and construction workers.
