The Russian Trade and Industry Ministry has included the Peugeot 4007, Citroen C-Crosser and Mitsubishi Outlander off-roaders produced at a local Peugeot-Citroen (PSA) plant in the list of cars available under a state-backed cash-for-clunkers' program, the official Rossiiskaya Gazeta newspaper said on Friday.

The government spent 11 billion rubles on the first stage of the program, which ran from March to June this year. Under the plan, anyone can sell their ten-year or older locally made car to get a 50,000 ruble discount on a new vehicle produced in Russia.

In August, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed an order another 10 billion rubles in funding for the program's second stage.

The government has also decided to extend the plan into 2011 and allocate another 14 billion rubles for it.
