Russia's car imports in January-November from non-CIS countries increased 29% to 619,300 cars and $10.14 billion in money terms, the Federal Customs Service said on Friday.
The country's truck imports soared 126% to 47,200 items worth $1.04 billion, the service said.
Car exports in January-November increased 7.42% to 39,100 cars worth $249.1 million, while truck exports fell in the same period by 26.5% to 9,400 trucks worth $225.4 million.
Imports of machine-building equipment rose in the first eleven months of 2010 by 26.3% year-on-year in money terms, including a 7.1% growth of mechanical equipment imports and a 6.6% increase in surface transport vehicle imports.
