Drinks giant PepsiCo has acquired around 66% of Russia's largest drinks and dairy firm, Wimm-Bill-Dann, in a $3.8 billion deal and is set to buy the rest of the firm by March 11, PepsiCo said on Thursday.
"PepsiCo expects to make an offer in Russia on or before March 11, 2011 to acquire all of the remaining Wimm-Bill-Dann shares," PepsiCo said.
PepsiCo signed a deal on December 1 last year with WBD's main shareholders to buy the firm at a price of $33 per ADR or $132 per ordinary share.
Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service gave the go-ahead for the deal on January 27.
