Seven dead, twelve injured in shooting at Texas military base

NEW YORK, November 5 (RIA Novosti) - At least seven people were killed and twelve were wounded in a shooting at the Fort Hood military base in the U.S. state of Texas on Thursday, national media reports said.

It is still not clear if the victims were civilians or service personnel. There is also no information on the identity of the gunmen.

NBC News said one of the two shooters had been detained. The TV channel also said that the second gunman may have taken refuge in a building at the base.

A third person may also have been involved, other reports said.
