A hundred Russian military mountaineers will gather at a training base in the North Caucasus Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria on Monday for mountain survival training.
They will learn how to climb grass- and gravel-covered slopes, rocks and glaciers.
"The servicemen will also learn safety rules during climbing, as well as first aid and evacuation of injured people from remote mountainous regions," a military spokesman said.
The training will continue through mid-September.
