One Navy serviceman was killed and four injured when a shell detonated during an exercise in Russia’s Baltic Fleet, the Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday.
One Navy serviceman was killed and four injured when a shell detonated during an exercise in Russia’s Baltic Fleet, the Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday.
A law enforcement source told RIA Novosti that the accident happened on board the ASW Perekop near St. Petersburg.
A criminal case has been opened on “careless handling of weapons” charges.
