A small plane carrying tourists on a sightseeing tour to view Mount Everest crashed in central Nepal near Kathmandu on Sunday, killing at least 18 people, Nepal television channels and police said.
Local TV said the Beech aircraft owned by the Buddha Air private airline was carrying three Nepal crew and 16 foreign passengers after a mountain flight to Everest when it crashed in heavy fog near the capital Kathmandu.
Rescuers pulled out 18 bodies from the plane wreckage while a man who appeared to have survived was taken to hospital.
An eyewitness said the plane had hit the roof of a house in the village located just a few miles south of Kathmandu.
