Urgent: Germany, India, Brazil, and Japan are worthy of UN Security Council permanent membership -- minister

MOSCOW, July 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia believes Germany, India, Brazil, and Japan are worthy of UN Security Council permanent membership, the Russian foreign minister said Thursday. "Germany, India, Brazil, and Japan are obviously worthy candidates," Sergei Lavrov said, before adding that this group should also include an African state. Lavrov was talking to readers of the daily Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
