So far, no fundamental decisions have been made in bilateral talks between the U.S. and North Korea. During the six-party talks, delegation heads decided China would develop a plan based on a joint document, Alekseev said.
All of the delegations must submit proposals to the Chinese delegation. Russia has already done this.
"Bilateral contacts, mainly between the North Korean delegations and the U.S., will continue for a certain time," he said.
On Saturday, the minister will have to return to Moscow but plans to go back to Beijing in two or three days.
Alekseev denied suggestions that the North Korean delegation plans to leave Beijing on Saturday.
"All of the delegations will remain here, except perhaps the head of the Japanese delegation, who will have to return to Tokyo," he said.
"Tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday, the talks will carry on as planned," he said.
The fourth round of six-way talks on the North Korean nuclear issue have been running since July 26. Present at the talks are senior diplomats from Russia, North Korea, South Korea, the U.S., China, and Japan.
Three rounds of talks had previously been held with the aim of convincing North Korea to end its nuclear program.
