Russian Strategic Missile Force to practice combat flight launches

ODINTSOVO (Moscow Region), August 10 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Strategic Missile Force will practice ten combat flight launches in 2005 and ten in 2006, its Commander, Colonel-General Nikolai Solovtsov said Wednesday.

The number of launches in 2005 and 2006 will remain at the 2004 level.

The nearest launch will take place from the Baikonur space center on August 23-24, Solovtsov said.
