ZHUKOVSKY (Moscow region), August 12 (RIA Novosti) -King Abdullah II of Jordan will attend the MAKS 2005 air show in Zhukovsky, the Moscow region, one of the event's organizers told journalists Friday.

Igor Novikov, the general director of the Russian company Air Show, said foreign companies and aerial stunt groups from France, Italy and the United States would participate in the event.

"The Patrouille de France stunt group will take part in the International airspace show," he said. "It is coming to Moscow for the second time in the last two years. Mirage-2000 planes will also be shown to the Russian public."

He said an Italian group would also present a new program. "The Italians, like at the previous MAKS, will draw a heart in the sky - a present to our women," Novikov said. He added they would show a transport aircraft capable of performing aerial stunts.

A total of 654 companies from 40 countries will attend MAKS-2005, Novikov said. He also told the press that 2,200 journalists and 101 TV companies had been accredited to cover the event. Novikov said 520 Russian firms, including such famous manufacturers as Sukhoi, Ilyushin, MiG, Kamov, and Mil would participate.

He also said that engine makers such as Salyut, Saturn and others would present a number of exclusive developments, including new generation engines.
