GROZNY, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Police are perusing an armed group west of Chechnya near Bamut and the Sunzha mountain range, after killing accused Chechen warlord Kazbek Batalov during an operation, said Shamil Kutsayev, head of the republic's Sunzha Interior Department.
The operation began 24 hours ago in the Achkhoi Martan and Sunzha districts in southwestern Chechnya. Another militant, Adam Tochiyev, was arrested.
