UPDATE: train traffic restored in Northern Caucasus

MAKHACHKALA, August 28 (RIA Novosti) - Train traffic on a span of the Northern Caucasus railroad in Daghestan (a republic in the Northern Caucasus) damaged late Saturday by an explosion has been restored, a railroad official said Sunday.
"Repair teams replaced about 70 meters of damaged tracks and the first trains have already traveled through this point," the official said.
According to the official, an explosion occurred on board the Astrakhan-Makhachkala train in the Khasavuyrt district of Daghestan late night Saturday. No casualties or injuries have been reported.
At present, two cars and a locomotive have been replaced and the train will travel to its destination soon.
