MOSCOW, August 31 (RIA Novosti) - Former Yukos chief executive Mikhail Khodorkovsky has decided to run for a seat in the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, a statement posted on his Web site said.
"I decided to run for State Duma deputy in the University electoral district of Moscow," Khodorkovsky said.
The imprisoned oligarch also said he was not fighting for "a pass to the members' cafeteria" or "an office on Okhotny Ryad," where the parliament building is located.
