MOSCOW, September 1 (RIA Novosti) - A spacecraft carrying a Russian Defense Ministry satellite is scheduled to be launched Friday at 1:50 p.m. Moscow time (09:50 GMT) from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan, a spokesman for the Russian Federal Space Agency said Thursday.
"The Soyuz-U carrier rocket with a Kosmos series satellite, made at the order of the defense ministry, is currently undergoing final preparations for the launch," Vyacheslav Davidenko said.
The spacecraft was moved to the Baikonur launch pad this morning.
