MINSK, September 6 (RIA Novosti) - A single Russian-Belarusian currency will not be introduced on January 1, 2006 as had been originally planned, the Russian prime minister said following a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Russian-Belarusian Union State.
Mikhail Fradkov said it was impossible to accomplish this by the beginning of next year.
"The issue remains on the agenda," Fradkov said. "We are continuing to work on the problem. We have an action plan, which keeps to be updated."
