MOSCOW, December 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday he was against registering international and foreign associations as Russian public organizations, the Kremlin press service said Friday. This statement is laid down in a resolution regarding a federal bill on amendments to some regulatory acts that Putin sent Friday to the speaker of the lower house, Boris Gryzlov, the press service said.
"The goals of the bill deserve support, but the suggested mechanisms must be in harmony with civil society principles," the resolution reads.
