KUALA LUMPUR, December 10 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian foreign minister sees broad prospects for Russian-Chinese interaction in integration processes in the Asia Pacific region.
"Today, we have discussed our cooperation in the context of integration processes in the Asia Pacific region. There are good prospects for our interaction with China here," Sergei Lavrov said Saturday in Kuala Lumpur at the end of his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing.
The two ministers discussed an array of activities for 2006 which was declared the Year of Russia in China.
Lavrov said that he and Li Zhaoxing had also addressed Iran's nuclear program, the nuclear problem on the Korean Peninsula, the situation around Syria and Lebanon, and coordination of efforts in reforming the UN.
