BUSHEHR, February 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russia will meet the schedule on its supplies of nuclear fuel to the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Russia's top nuclear official said Sunday.
"The fuel will be delivered in accordance with the schedule," Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of the Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency, said.
According to Kiriyenko, there is no need to deliver fuel to Bushehr earlier than half a year before the nuclear power plant starts operation.
About 100 metric tons of nuclear fuel for the Bushehr plant has been produced and is being stored by the state-owned TVEL Corporation, a leading world manufacturer of nuclear fuel.
