YEKATERINBURG, April 25 (RIA Novosti) - The body of a cadet from a local military school was discovered early Monday morning in a Urals city, local police said.
Police officers found the dead cadet, whose neck had been slashed, near a residential block on a major road in the town of Chelyabinsk, about 1,180 miles east of Moscow.
A criminal investigation has been launched.
Although there has been no suggestion so far that the events are in any way linked, Chelyabinsk was the scene of a major scandal in January when it emerged that a private at a city's tank academy had been left seriously disabled after an appalling hazing attack.
