MOSCOW, May 23 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's gross domestic product grew 5.1% in January-April 2006, down .1% year-on-year, the Finance Ministry said Tuesday.
Alexander Zhukov, a deputy prime minister, told the lower chamber of parliament on Monday that the Russian economy was expected to grow at an average of 6% annually over the next three years.
Russia has posted average annual GDP growth of about 7% in the last few years.
