MOSCOW, May 25 (RIA Novosti) - Police said Thursday they had detained a man suspected of telling airport staff in the northern city of Murmansk that there was a terrorist on a plane bound for Moscow.
"On Wednesday an unknown male called a teller at Murmansk airport and said that there was a terrorist on board a Tu-154 airliner carrying 103 passengers and 10 crew members on the Murmansk-Moscow route," a police source said.
The plane returned to Murmansk airport and police examined all passengers and cargo on board before allowing it to continue to Moscow.
