ST. PETERSBURG, June 9 (RIA Novosti) - Finance ministers from the Group of Eight leading industrialized nations will issue a communique on access to energy resources at a meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia's Alexei Kudrin said Friday.
"The finance ministers will issue a separate communique [on access to energy resources], which will be attached to the final communique," he said.
Energy security will be a central issue at the G8 finance ministers meeting's agenda on Saturday along with the fight against global poverty, Kudrin said.
Russia, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the club of the world's richest nations, will host an annual G8 summit in mid-July.
