MOSCOW, June 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's primary budget surplus was an estimated 957 billion rubles (about $35.4 billion) in the first five months of 2006, the Finance Ministry said Tuesday.
Federal budget revenues totaled 2,397 billion rubles (about $88.7 billion) or 97.86% of the half-year plan, and spending hit 1,509 billion rubles (about $55.8 billion) or 67% of the figure specified in the budget plan. Cash surplus is estimated at 888.8 billion rubles (about $32.9 billion).
The federal budget primary surplus excludes interest payments on the government's outstanding debt.
