TYUMEN (Urals), June 26 (RIA Novosti) - Five people have died and six hurt after a fire gutted a workers' hostel in the Urals, emergency services said Monday.
The one-story building, which was home to 80 people in the town of Beloyarsky in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, caught fire Sunday at 1.18 a.m. Moscow time (9 p.m. GMT Saturday). The flames destroyed the roof and internal walls, killing four Ukrainians and injuring another four and two Belarusians. A fifth body is yet to be established, a representative of the Emergency Situations Ministry said.
After another hostel fire on the weekend, a seventh cadet died in the hospital from burns he received in a June 24 blaze in the dormitory of a naval academy in St. Petersburg. Eighteen others were also injured.
