MOSCOW, June 29 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom [RTS: GAZP] could lose 30 billion rubles ($1.1 bln) in 2006 and 14 billion rubles ($517.4 mln) in 2007 on domestic gas supplies, an official at the Russian energy giant said Thursday.
"We plan reaching a positive result with a small profit only in 2008," Yelena Karpel, head of the state-owned gas company's economic expertise and pricing department, told a briefing.
Gazprom chief accountant Yelena Vasilyeva said the company would publish its 2005 report to International Accounting Standards.
"The report will be positive, and won't disappoint you. It will be published in a week," she said.
