An Airbus 310-300, owned by Novosibirsk-based S7, formerly Sibir, crashed early Sunday killing more than 100 people when it was making a routine flight from Moscow to the city of Irkutsk, about 3,000 miles east of the capital.
Preliminary reports suggest a fault with the brake hydraulic system might have caused the airliner to veer off the runway upon landing and burst into flames after hitting a concrete wall.
"Yesterday specialists and psychologists from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry helped more than 100 relatives of passengers of the Airbus A-300 that crashed in Irkutsk at a psychological aid headquarters in Moscow's Domodedovo airport," the ministry said.
The ministry also said 67 relatives of the crash victims had last night flown to Irkutsk, the home airport for popular tourist destination Lake Baikal, accompanied by psychologists.
Officials in Siberia said earlier Monday that the death toll in the air crash had risen to 124.
