MOSCOW, July 12 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow expects Iraqi authorities to take urgent measures to find and punish the killers of Russian diplomats, and to ensure no such incidents occur in the future, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
One Russian embassy employee was shot June 3 in an attack on a car in Baghdad. Four others were abducted and executed by an al-Qaeda linked group.
Deputy Foreign Ministry Alexander Saltanov met with a special envoy of the Iraqi president Tuesday, and urged the Iraqi government to punish the culprits, and find the bodies of the five Russians.
"Moscow also expects Iraq's authorities to take all necessary steps to prevent similar tragic incidents occurring in the future," Saltanov said.
