GUDERMES, July 13 (RIA Novosti) - A group of militants eliminated in eastern Chechnya Thursday were acting on direct orders from a Daghestani warlord who is seeking to become the successor to Russia's No.1 terrorist, the Chechen prime minister said.

"The group that attempted to infiltrate Chechnya had orders to conduct terrorist acts and sabotage," Ramzan Kadyrov said, adding that all militants were natives of Daghestan and were acting on orders of Khairula Imurzayev, the alleged successor to Shamil Basayev, who was killed Monday in an operation in neighboring Ingushetia.

A total of 13 militants were killed and two arrested in today's operation on the border between Chechnya and Daghestan in southern Russia, Chechnya's Interior Ministry official earlier said.

"We have eliminated all our bandits," Kadyrov said. "We have no place for them. And now bandits from neighboring republics are trying to infiltrate our territory. Let them stay at home."
