STRELNA, July 16 (RIA Novosti) - Leaders of the Group of Eight leading industrialized nations are meeting with eight youth delegates from G8 member countries in the Constantine Palace near St. Petersburg.
On July 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the Junior 8 Youth Forum, comprising students from G8 member countries, who arrived in St. Petersburg July 8.
The first meeting of J8 took place in Edinburgh in 2005 during the G8 summit in Gleneagles.
The J8 held its own forum in advance of the summit, attended by 64 students, and called on G8 leaders to improve public education.
