STRELNA (near St. Petersburg), July 16 (RIA Novosti) - Private investors in Russia have purchased $755 million worth of Rosneft shares during the initial public offering this month, the company's president said Friday.
Sergei Bogdanchikov said that the average share purchase was worth about $5,500 and 115,000 Russians bought Rosneft shares.
The president of the state-run crude producer said the company would soon announce a list of private investors who purchased shares worth $500,000 or more.
Rosneft closed the books on its IPO Friday, placing 1.4 billion ordinary shares (GDRs abroad) in Moscow and London with a total worth of $10.4 billion.
