Russia will evacuate 50 more Russian and CIS citizens from the Israeli-Lebanese conflict zone July 25, a senior official with the Emergency Situations Ministry said Monday.

MOSCOW, July 24 (RIA Novosti) - Russia will evacuate 50 more Russian and CIS citizens from the Israeli-Lebanese conflict zone July 25, a senior official with the Emergency Situations Ministry said Monday.

"We have reached an agreement with Lebanon and Israel on evacuating a new group of Russian and CIS nationals from southern Lebanon," Yury Brazhnikov said.

More than 1,700 Russian and CIS citizens have already been evacuated from the conflict zone.

More than 350 people are thought to have died in Lebanon since Israel launched a military operation in early July after Islamic militant group Hizbollah captured two Israeli servicemen in a cross-border raid. Another 600,000 people have fled the fighting. Over 30 Israelis have also lost their lives.

Brazhnikov also said the Emergency Situations Ministry was ready to deliver humanitarian aid to Lebanon and was waiting for a government decision.

He said Lebanon had already sent a request for aid, but added, "We have received no request to provide this aid from Israel."
