MOSCOW, August 1 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom (RTS: GAZP), the world's third largest company with a market capitalization of almost $300 billion, said Tuesday its 1H 2006 net profit calculated to Russian accounting standards doubled year-on-year from 88.5 bln rubles ($3.3 bln) to 177 bln rubles ($6.6 billion).
