"Oil production in 2006 will be 482 million metric tons (3.54 billion bbl), or 102.6% of the 2005 figure, and exports will total 255 million tons (1.87 billion bbl), or 101% of the 2005 level," the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade said in a forecast submitted to the government Thursday.
The ministry also forecasted that primary oil refining in Russia would be 217 mln tons, or 104.6% of the 2005 index.
Exports of oil products are expected to increase 6.1% against 2005 to reach 103 mln tons.
Gas production is forecasted to rise 1.2% to 646 billion cubic meters, including 200 bln cu m of exports. With account for imported gas, Russia's domestic and foreign needs will be satisfied. Domestic gas demand is estimated at 449 bln cu m (101.3% of 2005).
