MOSCOW, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - The fire at a textile factory near the main Russian government building in Moscow has been extinguished, the Moscow fire department said Monday.
The police said the fire at Trehgornaya Manufactura, one of the oldest factories in Russia, started around 12.00 p.m. Moscow time.
"At present, the debris is being hosed down and cleared," a fire department source said, adding that more than 30 factory employees were evacuated.
More than 20 teams of firefighters are at the site, the source said.
The source said the fire spread over 100 square meters, but that no casualties have yet been reported.
