Yury Brazhnikov, the head of the ministry's international department, said the sides had created an "aeromobile complex" comprising "specialized robots, helicopters, a cargo plane and a mobile laboratory to conduct tests in conditions of radiation, chemical or biological contamination."
He said the complex would be presented during the Latio-2006 exercise in Italy on October 23-27, which will be held as part of the Russia-NATO Council.
"This Russian-Hungarian initiative is linked to the threat of terrorist acts with the use of dirty bombs," Brazhnikov said.
He also said Germany, which possessed special water purification devices for use in conditions of radiation, chemical or biological contamination, may subsequently join the project.
