MOSCOW, October 23 (RIA Novosti) - Dalsvyaz [RTS: ESPK] said Monday its net profit in January-September 2006, calculated to Russian Accounting Standards, grew on the same period in 2005 by 45.3%, to 1.04 billion rubles ($38.7 million).
Sales profit was 2.03 billion rubles ($75.6 million), up 49% on the first nine months of 2005. Profit before taxes grew 42.2%, to 1.45 billion rubles ($54 million).
Dalsvyaz, majority-owned by state-owned telecoms holding Svyazinvest (50.6% of the voting stock and 38.1% of the charter capital), is the largest communications operator in the Far East.
