MOSCOW, November 15 (RIA Novosti) - A large fire has engulfed a construction materials market in the north of the Russian capital, and firefighting efforts are being complicated by liquefied gas cylinder blasts, the head of Moscow's emergency services said Wednesday.

"The fire has spread over 250 square meters [2,700 sq. feet]," Yevgeny Bobylev said. "Firefighters are using protection shields, as liquefied gas cylinders are exploding."

The official said a total of 20 firefighting units are working to put out the blaze at the market, on Dmitrovsky Shosse.

No injuries have been reported so far, he said.
